“Nadeem is a great player, he plays too well and  is no different from neeraj. We have gold and silver, there is no difference for us,” he pointed out.

Razia Parveen told Independent Urdu, “They are not only friends but brothers and I pray for Neeraj to achieve more success.”

“Neeraj is like my son and I do pray for his win. Winning and losing is part of the game but they are like brothers.

Although rivals on the field, Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem share a friendship. Last year, Neeraj claimed the gold ahead of  Nadeem at the World Championships held a t Budapest.

On Thursday, the dream came true. Arsham Nadeem became Pakistan’s first individual Olympic champion while Neeraj Chopra became India’s most successful individual Olympian, now with gold and silver medals.
